Kremlin Calls Russian Parliamentary Visit to US “Very Significant”

(MENAFN) Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Sunday described the recent trip of a Russian parliamentary delegation to the United States as “very significant,” according to reports.

Highlighting that Russia-U.S. relations have reached historically low levels in recent years, Peskov expressed hope that the visit “would significantly contribute to revitalizing the entire range of bilateral relations.”

He added that Russia is ready to develop ties with the United States, though the depth and pace of progress will depend on Washington’s willingness to engage.

The delegation from Russia’s State Duma, the lower house of parliament, traveled to the U.S. from Thursday to Friday at the invitation of American officials. During the visit, both sides discussed bilateral issues, the Ukraine conflict, and developments in the Middle East, as stated by reports.
